• Tumor necrosis factor is a cytokine that is often generated during inflammation.
• Tumor necrosis factor inhibitory drugs block or inhibit the action of  TNF.
• These include medications such as adalimumab (Humira), etanercept (Enbrel) and infliximab. These medications are used in some of the hair loss conditions such as dissecting cellulitis
